Friends of Driffield Sustainable Park

Approximately 3 acres of publicly owned land located behind Lockwood Street has been earmarked for another housing development.

We would rather the land be given to the people of Driffield and the surrounding areas for a new environmentally focused green space.

FoDSP is a group for anyone who would like to get involved in making that happen.

Who is FoDSP?

Our group, FoDSP, is primarily local residents of Driffield and the surrounding villages who have come together to campaign to save this green space in the centre of the town of Driffield.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council currently own the land and has earmarked it in the Local Plan for housing, however this has recently been put on pause as the site is not currently economically viable for housing.

Friends of Driffield Sustainable Park

Why?

The aim of our group is to raise awareness within Driffield and surrounding communities of the opportunity to develop one of the last undeveloped open green space in Driffield into a sustainable biodiversity green park which would become an asset for the whole community.
